This week's Sunday (or public holiday Monday) recipe is 'Soused Herring Roll'. It was my favourite lunchtime snack when I travelled to Amsterdam. Served cold from the cart vendors, I couldn't help but make it today for trip to memory lane.
- Pickled Herring
- Pickled Cucumbers (Gherkins) Sliced
- Brown or Red Onion diced
- Bread Roll
Instructions: Layer ingredients into bread roll and sprinkle pepper to taste. Served cold.
